Louis Sullivan Wins Best Documentary at the 2010 Kansas City FilmFest

The Kansas City FilmFest (April 15-18) proved to be a great experience. My film was given two screenings in the all-digital AMC Main Street, where Blu-Ray technology really lived up to its promise. The first screening was on Thursday afternoon in the middle of tax day, and still over 50 people showed up, after which I was invited to dinner with some great people from the Kansas City Bungalow Club. Sunday’s show was sold out, and that night the film was recognized as the Best Documentary of the festival.

Every year the festival has its trophy designed by a student at the Kansas City Art Institute, and this year a ceramic sculpture/vase was created, recalling the projection of an image onto a movie screen…a great design!

Thanks to everyone in Kansas City who came out to see the film and the Festival’s board, staff and jury of the Festival for recognizing it!
